# Introduction

## What is Projectyl?

Projectyl is a project management platform that unifies **Tasks**, **Documents**, **Chat**, and **Targets** into a single workspace. Instead of scattering your team's work across separate tools for tasks, messaging, and documentation, Projectyl keeps everything together — organised by project, accessible to everyone who needs it.

It's built for small teams (3–12 people) who want to get work done without drowning in tool overhead.

## Create an account

1. Navigate to the [sign-up page](https://projectyl.app).
2. Fill in your **First Name**, **Last Name**, **Email**, and **Password**.
   - Password must be at least 8 characters and contain at least one number.
3. Alternatively, click **Sign in with Google** to register using your Google account.
4. After registration, check your email for a **confirmation link** and click it to activate your account.

> **Tip:** If you don't receive the confirmation email, check your spam folder. You can resend the confirmation from the sign-in page.

## Sign in

- Enter your email and password, or use **Sign in with Google**.
- If you haven't confirmed your email, a link to resend the confirmation email will appear.
- If you arrived via a **workspace invitation link**, a banner will remind you of the pending invite — see [Joining a workspace via invite](/getting-started/workspaces#join-a-workspace-via-invite) for more.

## Reset your password

1. On the sign-in page, click **Forgot Password?**
2. Enter your email address and submit.
3. Check your email for a reset link.
4. Click the link and set a new password.

## Onboarding

After your first sign-in, if you don't belong to any workspace yet, you'll be guided to create one:

1. Enter a **Workspace Name** (required).
2. Optionally add a **Description**.
3. Click **Create** to enter your new workspace.

From here, you can [create your first project](/getting-started/projects#create-a-project), [invite team members](/getting-started/workspaces#inviting-people), and start adding tasks.
