Goals
Track larger objectives and visualize progress with goals in Projectyl.
Goals help you track larger objectives. Tasks can be linked to goals to visualize progress.
View goals
The goals page shows a grid of goal cards. Each card displays:
- Goal name and status badge.
- Description preview.
- Labels (up to 3 shown).
- Lead and member avatars.
- Task progress (completed / total).
- Timeline bar with start and target dates.
You can filter by status or search text, and sort by name, created date, start date, target date, or custom order.
Goal statuses
- Backlog — Not yet started.
- In Progress — Actively being worked on.
- On Hold — Paused.
- Done — Completed.
Calendar view
Switch to the calendar view to see goals as bars spanning their start-to-target date on a monthly calendar.
Goal detail page
Click a goal card to open its full detail page:
Left column (Properties):
- Name (editable).
- Status dropdown.
- Lead (single assignee).
- Members (multiple assignees).
- Labels.
- Start Date and Target Date.
- Task progress bar.
Right column:
- Rich text description.
- Activity feed and comments.
Actions:
- Copy Link — Share the goal URL.
- Delete — Permanently remove the goal (with confirmation).
